We are very excited to begin a new year with our wonderful group of clients and horses.   We already have plenty of news to report!

Upcoming Events:

February 15 we will host our  LTR Dressage  "in house" clinic.  It is named, "Going the Distance" and will feature LTR horses and riders throughout the levels.  If you are interested in attending or want to ride please let us know as soon as possible.  It should be a really fun day--though hopefully not such a cold day as the past few weekends!

February 22-23 we will attend the FWDC Cowtown Classic dressage shows at Las Colinas Equestrian Center.  A fairly complete

calendar of competitons that we will be attending is now on the Events page.

March 28-30 we are pleased to announce that Betsy Steiner will be coming to give a clinic for us.  She will also give an

Equilates class.

For more information on the clinic please follow this link.

Dallas Dressage Club Awards Banquet:

The LTR team had their hard work of the 2013 competiton season reflected in the awards presented by the Dallas Dressage Club.  It was a lovely evening and the club presented trophies to the winning riders.  I know there have complaints about the prizes at the competitons themselves not being "fancy",  but the year end awards are very nice and trump the national awrds presented by USDF and the breed organizations!  They are worth the price of membership if you participate in any DDC competions.

Congratualtions:

Congratualtions to Nancy Foglia on the purchase of Paul Stuart.  We look forward to seeing Nancy and

Paul in the competiton arena this fall.  Paul is a 2006 Oldenburg gelding by Argentinus.

Congratualtions to Julie Madriguera on being accepted into the USEF "r" judges program.

Thanks to everyone who supported her application!

Condolences:

Late in 2013 the Napier family of Holly Barry Farm lost their beloved Lippizan gelding Enrico of apparent heart failure.  He was only 12 years years old and died suddenly, though peacefully, in his paddock.  He was a true charatcer who "whistled" for treats and did breath taking Spanish Walk and effortless piaffe--whether you wanted it or not!  He contested two dressage competitons with Shannon Napier and won high point awards at both.  He is greatly missed.
